Good word of mouth buzz for the rockin’ new musical Memphis, set in the namesake Southern city in the heat of the 1950s, is growing fast. Even Emmy winner Alfre Woodard, a well-loved regular on the stage and screen, got word of the good times happening at the Shubert Theatre every night and stopped by to see a performance for herself on Friday, October 23. After giving the talented cast a standing “O” with the rest of the crowd, she headed backstage to tell everyone how much she loved the show.
